Complementary NAC

N-acetylcysteine

N-acetylcysteine (NAC) is a derivative of the amino acid cysteine and serves as a precursor to glutathione, one of the body essential antioxidants.

Glutathione plays a critical role in protecting cells from oxidative stress and maintaining overall cellular health. Due to its powerful antioxidant properties and its ability to modulate the glutamatergic and dopaminergic systems, NAC has been explored as a therapeutic option for various psychiatric and neurological conditions.
